Intensive Training Program

In addition to our clinical services, the center operates an intensive training program for MFT/LCSW/LPC associates. This program allows us to offer high quality CBT therapy at significantly reduced rates to clients in need as well as provide new therapists the opportunity to receive the training necessary to be a CBT specialist by the time the get licensed.

The intensive training program includes:

• 10 hours volunteer training prior to start of paid employment
• Average of 20 clients per week (schedule 23-24).
• 2 hours of individual supervision per week.
• 2 hours of group/triadic supervision per week.
• 1-2 hours per week of live supervision, review of video or audio recordings of the associate’s sessions, and/or co-therapy conducted with the associate and clinical supervisor or other SRCBT clinicians.
• Approximately 3-5 hours per week of case management activities such as completing treatment notes, collateral contact with referral sources and other treatment providers, as well as follow-up contact with parents and other family members.
• 3-5 hours per week of additional training and reading relevant to evidence-based treatments for current clients.

We accept applications from associates with the following qualifications:

• Current MFT/LCSW/LPC associate registration
• Some CBT experience/training preferred though not required
• Desire to develop CBT as a primary orientation
• Experience and desire to treat children and teens
• Able to make a two-year commitment
• Able to work weekends and evenings

Start dates for the program are flexible so those graduating in May or August are encouraged to apply.
