Grief and Loss
Losing a loved one is an experience that almost everyone will have at some point in their lives. How you experience grief is influenced by the circumstances of the death as well as the nature of your relationship to the deceased.
Grief can encompass a wide range of emotions such as:

- Yearning
- Relief

Treatment
Everyone grieves differently. There is no right or wrong way and it doesn’t occur in any predictable stages. However, grief that is unexplored can begin to cause problems in daily life. The aim of therapy is to process your grief by:
- Accepting the reality of the loss
- Processing the pain of grief
- Adjusting to a world without the deceased
- Finding an enduring connection with the deceased in the midst of embarking on a new life
